Artist Visit: John Humble

John Humble received a B.A. in philosophy from the
>> University of Maryland and an M.F.A. from the San
>> Francisco Art Institute. His large-scale color
>> photographs of the ironies and paradoxes of the Los
>> Angeles landscape have been exhibited and published
>> internationally. His work is in numerous collections
>> including the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the National
>> Museum of American Art, the Smithsonian Institute,
>> the Library of Congress, LACMA, the San Francisco
>> Museum of Modern Art, and the J. Paul Getty Museum.
>> In addition to making fine-art photographs of the
>> L.A. landscape, he has also done editorial work for
>> Time, Newsweek, U.S. News and World Report, Elle,
>> The Los Angeles Times Magazine, Harper's, Esquire,
>> and Geo. He is represented by the Jan Kesner Gallery
>> in Los Angeles.
